story telling

We have some fun details about this Thursday’s Bellevue story time!

Our theme is German fairy tales.

We will have two high school German language students who will read their original children’s stories – in German, then in English — at 7 p.m. at the Bellevue Public Library, 1003 Lincoln Rd.

Children’s librarian Alice Boeckman will share a story by the Grimm brothers. It will be a fractured fairy tale based on Rapunzel, titled “Falling for Rapunzel” by Leah Wilcox.

Former Husker and NFL player Steve Warren will be the guest story reader at momaha’s Evening Children’s Story Time 7 p.m. at the Bookworm Bookstore, near 87th and Pacific Streets.

Momaha’s Evening Story Time started as a way for parents, especially working parents, to enjoy a sit-down activity with their children.

Most public story time sessions are held during the day. So please come out and play!

Momaha and The Bookworm at Countryside Village will host an evening children’s story time every last Friday of the month.

We know it’s hard for parents, especially working parents, to pencil in community story hours to their busy schedule. Most public story time sessions are held during the day.

Think of it as a big slumber party with milk and cookies after the reading.

The next one is this 7 p.m. tonight.

We know parents like to plan ahead.

And now that the holidays are nearing, we figured you’d need some help getting a few fun events marked down on your calender.

There are plenty of things to do in Omaha with kids this fall and winter.

Here’s what we suggest:

Mark your calendar. Set a reminder. Tie a string around your finger.

Tomorrow is momaha’s first evening children’s story time at the Bookworm Bookstore at Countryside Village, near 87th and Pacific Streets.
