New research suggests that underneath the stereotypical male sex drive, men are surprisingly complicated.
“People are so willing to accept stereotypes of male promiscuity and inability to commit,” psychologist Julia Heiman was quoted about the findings of her research on heterosexual relationships in the April issue of Psychology Today.
Heiman is the director of the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction at Indiana University.
Her team’s new research on heterosexual relationships shows that the majority of these beliefs about men are incorrect.
