A small study found a possible link between BPA and miscarriage risk in women prone to fertility problems.
The chemical is commonly found in plastics and canned food linings and may affect hormones in the body.
Researchers analyzed blood from 115 newly-pregnant women with a history of miscarriage or infertility.
Women with the highest levels had 80 percent greater chance of miscarriage than those with the lowest.
Sixty-eight women in the study did miscarry.
Forty-seven women did not.
