Being a caregiver is not easy job, but a new class is designed to help reduce some of the stress.
“Powerful Tools for Caregivers” is a six-week workshop-style educational program that starts Thursday at The Center, 714 Main St. in Council Bluffs.
The program was developed by Dr. Kate Loring and her colleagues at Stanford University’s Patient Education Center, and will be presented by local certified leaders Pat Billings and Ruth Hamlin.
The classes run from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Thursdays through June 20. The program is free and open to any adult caregiver, but class size is limited, so participants need to register. To learn more about the program or register, contact Hamlin at 402-650-7132 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
