Time for some spring cleaning? Bring your children’s old clothing to the Twice As Nice Kids Consignment sale, 13445 Cryer Ave. Parents can sell their kid’s gently used clothes and shop for the next size up. The spring public sale is open today from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Enjoy a “Sesame Street” themed family date night at the Omaha Children’s Museum. Open till 8 p.m., there will be many activities to keep your family entertained through out the evening.
It’s kids night out at Bounce U, 13211 Candler Road, La Vista. Drop your kids off from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. for a night of games, movies, pizza and unlimited bouncing. Cost is $17.50 for the first child and $12.50 for siblings. Reservations are required. Call 402-884-9093.
Check out the Harlem Globetrotters at the CenturyLink Center. This high-energy show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets range from $22 to $101 and can be purchased at the CenturyLink Center box office.
Relive the classic film “Jurassic Park” with your kids (if they are old enough) in 3D at your local movie theater. If they are too young catch “The Croods” in 3D instead!
If you are heading to Lincoln to watch the Husker Spring Game, don’t forget to stop by at the Nebraska Bookstore for the Big D.R.E.A.M.S. Tailgate Party. Husker Legends will be there signing autographs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Bring your favorite stuffed animal to the Henry Doorly Zoo on Saturday or Sunday for some repair and care. Your animal will receive a checkup including X-rays, heartbeat and eye exams. Radio Disney (1190 AM) is attending this event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. Children ages 3 to 11 with a stuffed animal will get free admission.
Experience the life of Lewis and Clark from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. though a free program at the Western Historic Trails Center, 3434 Richard Downing Ave. in Council Bluffs. There will be many family-friendly activities, such at an outdoor obstacle course, for families to enjoy.
Sadly, this is the last weekend the Lion King will be in town at the Orpheum Theater. Tickets are still available at www.ticketomaha.com. Saturday’s shows begin at 2 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. as well as Sunday at 1 p.m.
Join the Totally Rad 80s run at Werner Park, 12356 Ballpark Way. This 5K is a fun themed race and begins at noon. Click here to register. Prizes will be given to the coolest costume.
Bring out your kites and head to Recreation Fields, 1100 W. Lincoln, Papillion for Spring Kite Fly Day. This event begins at 12 p.m. and ends at 4 p.m.
Watch “Popovich Comedy Pet Theater” at the Holland Center. Show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start from $19.
Support the UNO Mavericks baseball team at Werner Park. UNO will play the Air Force at 6 p.m.
