Josie Loza: Momaha has a new intern this spring
Josie Loza Omaha World-Herald

We’re lucky at momaha to have our second intern on staff this spring.

Chelsea Flynn, 21, is a University of Nebraska at Omaha student who has a strong background in writing and journalism.

We were impressed that this young, non-mom was interested in helping our site grow.

Chelsea adores children. In fact, she worked at an Omaha-area child care center for five years before accepting our internship.

She didn’t waste any time jumping into things at momaha. I’m sure you’ve noticed her “What’s going on this weekend?” blog posts already.

We’re thrilled to have her on board.

Chelsea will help out twice a week for the next 15 weeks. She’ll blog weekly, build momaha’s calendar of events, chat with moms on our forums, post on Facebook fan page and Twitter and contribute to momaha magazine. We look forward to seeing her radiating smile at momaha events.

Meet her at Kidz Explore at Mid-American Center in Council Bluffs on Feb. 16 and 17. She’ll be greeting parents and helping you register for momaha’s weekly newsletter — which is getting a new look.

She’ll also be at momaha’s Evening Children’s Story Time 7 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Bookworm Bookstore, near 87th and Pacific Streets.

Make sure you read “Get to know: Momaha’s new intern” where Chelsea shares her six favorite photo memories.

Swing back tomorrow to read her “14 thoughtful Valentine’s Day gestures” story.
