Season 3 of “Downton Abbey” is growing in popularity.
The show’s premiere earned 7.9 million viewers – up 96 percent over the Season 2 premiere – which ranks it as the top-rated PBS drama of all time.
The show even had a good night when it went up against Super Bowl XLCVII on Sunday. Opposite the big game, the show earned 6.6 million viewers ranking it in second place for the night. That’s an increase of 65 percent over last year’s “Downton Abbey” that aired opposite the Super Bowl.
This increase in its fan base could be one of the reasons you see so many “Downton Abbey” parodies on the Internet. “Sesame Street’s” take, called “Upside Downton Abbey” has been talked about a lot recently.
Take a look at that video and other parodies.

“Downton Arby’s”
Definitely one of the better parodies out there. Gotta love how much trouble Edith is having with that straw.
