Marcus Theatres will begin its annual “Kids Dream Winter Film Series” this weekend.
The series will feature G or PG-rated films just for kids.
Admission will only cost $2 each 10 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday through March 17. The theater will also have $2 concession snacks.
The series will kick off with “Madagascar 3″.
The series will be offered at Village Pointe in Omaha, Twin Creek in Bellevue and at the Lincoln Grand and South Pointe in Lincoln.
The movie lineup: “Madagascar 3,” Feb. 2-3; “Dog Days,” Feb. 9-10; “Ice Age,” Feb. 16-17; “Paranorman,” Feb. 23-24; “Hotel Transylvania,” March 2-3; “Rise of the Guardians,” March 9-10; and TBA, March 16-17.
Across town, Aksarben Cinema will have free admission to selected children’s movies every weekend in February.
This week’s movie is “Ice Age: Continental Drift.”
Doors open at 10:30 a.m. Show time starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Limited seating. Patrons are asked to bring one non-perishable food item to donate to Together Inc.
