Josie Loza: Comedy Christmas song mashup breaks World Record for charity
Josie Loza Omaha World-Herald

Former star of NBC’s “The Apprentice” Danny Kastner recorded 100 parody video songs in 18 hours, and then compiled them into this 8-minute mashup video to raise money for needy families.

The charity project is called “Crowdfund Christmas” and will help Boys and Girls clubs and families.

The families, nominated by participating Boys and Girls Clubs across the country, will benefit in the New Year through donations on crowdfunding site Indiegogo.

Kastner, once known as the “Troubadour of Trump Tower,” was well known for his on-the-spot, song-antics in Season 3 of The Apprentice with Donald Trump.

“It’s time to grab the guitar and get serious about helping these families,” Kastner said. “Their stories are heartbreaking, and we’re taking action through social media and crowdfunding. As far as we can tell, 100 original written video songs by request, in a single day, is a world record, so we’re gonna break (out) some Guinness and celebrate… while never losing sight of the goal to help these families in need.”

The songs were by request by donors. Be sure and check out the Boys and Girls Club Crowdfund page to see how you can help.
