I absolutely love my 22-month-old Gabriella’s facial expressions.
The grimace on her face makes my heart happy. The way she’ll crinkle her nose, widen her eyes and crack a grin. If I’m lucky, I’ll get a wry smile.
She could be elated, ecstatic, tickled with joy over meeting Santa and all things Christmas — from decorating the tree to making gingerbread houses — but the corners of her lips rarely turn up.
After I snap a photo, she’ll run to me and say, “Lemme see, mom.”
Have a look-see:
On the rare occasion that Gabriella smiles for a photo, I have to go for it.
Hence, the half-cut off photo in the middle of this collage.
Sigh. Mommy loves you, Gabi. Smile.
Help me out! How do you get your child to smile for photos?
