Decorating the Thanksgiving table with natural elements can also include functional items like trivets.

Cutting these leaf-shaped cork trivets couldn’t be easier when using dowloadable templates. Get creative and make your own designs.

CORK TRIVETS

Supplies

Flat squares of cork (available at most craft stores)

Craft knife or X-ACTO knife

Leaf templates (we downloaded ours from marthastewart.com.)

Marker

Scissors

Masking tape

Cutting mat

Directions

Cut out the printed templates with a pair of scissors.

With a piece of masking tape, secure the template to the piece of cork and trace around the outline with a marker. Remove the tape and finish tracing the template.

Place the cork on the cutting mat. With a craft knife, cut around the outline of the leaf.

Turn over to use.
