What is it about the holidays? They lure veteran bakers and people who normally wouldn’t think of turning on the oven into a frenzy of treat-making and sharing.

Now it’s time for this year’s 12 Days of Cookies competition, sponsored by Roberts Dairy Foods. And you can help us find 12 cookie recipes to share in the paper.

Readers can vote for the best cookie recipes at Omaha.com/contests. Learn more about the cookie recipes, too. Is it a longtime family favorite? Do people clamor for your cookies each year?

The cookie recipes with the most votes will be featured in the Omaha World-Herald’s Living section starting Dec. 12.
