No, the North Pole isn’t relocating to midtown Omaha.

It’s the Miracle on Farnam, a celebration of Christmas coming to Farnam Street in Midtown Crossing, where Omaha nonprofit arts and culture groups wil curate more than a dozen window displays.

Visitors to shops and restaurants will see all kinds of holiday spirit starting Nov. 15, when they will be unveiled and Midtown Crossing’s holiday lights will be switched on.

Displays will be available for viewing every day from 8 a.m. to 1 a.m. through New Year’s Day.

The public can vote on the best display and Midtown Crossing will donate $3,000 to the nonprofit group hosting the display. Votes can be cast at www.miracleonfarnam.com.

Groups taking up the displays include the Blue Barn Theatre, Durham Museum, Rose Theater, Joslyn Art Museum, Joslyn Castle, Kent Bellows Studio, Lauritzen Gardens, Omaha Children’s Museum, Omaha Community Playhouse, Omaha Performing Arts, Omaha Symphony Guild, Henry Doorly Zoo, Opera Omaha and Strategic Air & Space Museum.
