Bring your kids to the Child Saving Institute’s 6th annual Touch-A-Truck event Saturday where they can climb on “real life” vehicles.

Enjoy the Nebraska-Ohio State game Saturday on a big screen at “Pigskin in the Park” at Turner Park at Midtown Crossing.

Watch “Legally Blonde” at the Community Playhouse on Saturday or Sunday.

Check out some of the haunts, pumpkin patches and corn mazes to help you make the most of autumn.

Enjoy Nebraska apples and cider for sale throughout the day on Saturday at the Apple Day Craft Show.

Celebrate the history, people and culture of Japan on Saturday and Sunday at the Japanese Ambience Festival at Lauritzen Gardens.

Enjoy a day of old-fashioned fun on the farm at the Gifford Farm Fall Festival at 700 Camp Gifford Road in Bellevue. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Feast your eyes on a festoon of autumn colors during the Japanese-inspired Fall Chrysanthemum Show.

Visit Laurtizen Gardens before October 14th to see what is believed to be the only existing structure remaining from Omaha’s Trans-Mississippi and International back in 1898.

Check out Tim Burton’s new stop-motion film, “Frankenweenie” , which will play throughout the weekend.

Get to Village Pointe for their end-of-season celebration of Harvest Fest. And for Farmer’s Markets during one of their last weekends.

Take advantage of free immunizations, flu shots and more at South Omaha Boys & Girls Club, 5051 South 22nd Street, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon
